Yes, we are home after a 7 day trip to visit family. We had a wonderful time and spent some great time with our sweetie Granddaughter, Samantha. Being with a 7 year old for these days gives a new appreciation to mothers of the world still raising kids, bless you all! She was a joy and we had so much fun. We spent a day at the Spokane River Front Park, enjoying watching her ride the carnival rides. Gramps and I rode the gondola ride with her and I ventured on the ferris wheel with her. It was so much fun. We also spent a day in Idaho, had lunch at a park, did some school clothes shopping and visited with family/friends.
Our trip also included the big 80th Birthday Party in Yakima for "Grandpa Dufault". It was amazing...all six of Doug's siblings were there and ALL of the grandkids, and all but one of the greatgrandkids. It was so nice to see everyone. The cousins really enjoyed catching up, too.
Doug's Dad was overwhelmed and it took a while for him to comprehend the party was for "him" and that the whole family was there.
